Just because the Ocean Princess is one of the smaller ships in the Princess fleer doesn’t mean you won’t have any opportunities to work out on your cruise and burn off the extra calories you consume. This small ship has the same amenities as the larger cruise ships when it comes to fitness and wellness. There is a small gym on this ship that can easily accommodate a group of passengers at one time as they work out on the cardio and resistance machines and make use of the free weights.

World-class fitness experts are on board every cruise and will help you use the machines if you have any difficulty. They are also there to answer any fitness questions you may have and will work with you to design a routine just for your needs. There is an extra cost for this personalized service, but it is only minimal in the benefits you obtain. You can have a body assessment done and a metabolism test so that your workout will target the proper areas of your body.

Fitness classes are offered on a regular basis each day. These include aerobics, Pilates, Yoga, spinning and stretching. Usually the group aerobics classes are free of charge and there is a $10 fee associated with other classes on the Ocean Princess.

Although the views are glorious from the gym through the floor to ceiling windows, you might want to take advantage of the fresh air as you take a walk or a jog on the padded track. Here you can walk or jog at your own pace with no tables or chairs in the way to impede your progress.

There are also two golf simulators on the ship where you can test your driving skills on challenging courses from all parts of the world. There is a nine-hole mini golf course on the ship as well and this is the setting for putting green contests throughout the cruise.

In the Lotus Spa you can indulge in a treatment or two to soothe your aching muscles and help clear your mind. The range of treatments includes various types of massage, aromatherapy treatments, body wraps and detoxification. There is no sauna on this ship but there are steam rooms for men and women. In addition, there are two whirlpools where you can soak away your aches and pains.
