With a health spa and fitness center spanning two decks of the ship, there is no lack of fitness opportunities on the Emerald Princess. The Lotus Spa on this ship is absolutely gorgeous and calls out to you to come in for a treatment or two.
Work out in comfort on the state of the art equipment in the gymnasium. Here you will find machines for a cardio work out, free weights and resistance machines all of which have their own TV screen for viewing as you carry out your daily fitness regimen. However, the view through the window is so panoramic that you will spend most of your time gazing out to sea. This makes it so much easier to work out for longer periods of time. A fitness instructor conducts classes in aerobics, Pilates, Yoga, stretching and spinning. Some of these classes are offered free of charge while others involve paying a small fee. The personal trainer will design a program based on your needs for a reasonable fee as well. Soak away your aches and pains in the whirlpools within the spa and those adjacent to the pools on the ship. You can make swimming part of your routine as well with daily laps of the pool. Give your body a good aquatic work out by swimming against the current in the Lotus Pool. Inclement weather won’t hamper your schedule because this pool and the Calypso Pool are suitable for swimming any time because they both have a retractable glass roof. Walk or jog at your own pace on the padded track that wraps around the spa. There are no obstacles in your way as you take in the glorious view. Center Court is the place on the Emerald Princess where you can engage in a game of volleyball, basketball or deck tennis for a work out in the fresh ocean air. At Cybergolf, you can test your driving skills on one of two golf simulators. You will feel as if you are playing golf on the most challenging courses of the world and there is a golf expert on every cruise to help you with your swing. This expert also holds golf clinics on the ship. You will also have fun and get in some practice on the course at Princess Links, the nine-hole mini-golf course onboard the ship. |
