The Island Princess has a comprehensive program for children cruising with their parents in its environmental programs offered in association with different organizations. Through this program children gain valuable insight into the ecosystems of the parts of the world visited on a cruise.

On the ship, the programs for children are divided into specific age groups. Ages 3 to 7 are part of the Princess Pelicans program and engage in puppet shows and other activities suited to this age group. They also have use of the splash pool. Children from ages 8 to 12 are the Privateers and again the activities are suited to their age and level of interest. Teenagers don’t have to associate with the younger kids because they have their own club, appropriately called Off Limits. They have their own karaoke machines, lip sync contests and other activities in which they socialize with those of their own age.

The Atrium is the location of the information desk, the purser’s desk and the shore excursion desk. With all of these in the same location, you can easily get answers to your questions about the ship and its programs, cash cheques or purchase stamps. This location is also the setting for the shopping area of the ship with its range of boutiques and the Internet Cafe, where you can check you email or surf the net.

Sit back with a drink in the Lobby Bar, also in the Atrium, and watch the comings and goings in the hub of the Island Princess. The Library and Card Room are also in this area and offer great views out to sea as well as choices in entertainment, whether it is to curl up with a book or play a board game or card game with your friends.

Four pools will certainly provide you with all the opportunities you need for swimming or sitting back in a lounge chair soaking up the rays of the sun. Whirlpools are spread throughout the ship, adjacent to the pools and within the spa. Along with having a treatment at the spa, you can also avail of the services offered at the Beauty Salon for your grooming needs.

If you just want a few minutes to yourself, the Conservatory is available where you can have a short nap, watch what is going on at the pool or just enjoy the view through the large windows. Getting married at sea has never been easier at the Hearts and Mind Chapel on the Island Princess where the captain can conduct marriages when the ship is not in port.
