The choices in entertainment on a cruise on the Golden Princess are mind-boggling. The Princess Theater is the focal point for large scale productions and there are usually two of these on a 10-night cruise. This venue can seat 750 at one time in the stadium style seating and there are no bad seats in the house. All have an exceptional view of the stage. Each show is accompanied by a 12-piece band and the lighting and sound effects enhance the performances making it very memorable for you.

If you enjoy cabaret, then you will want to take in a show in the Vista Show Lounge. There is a variety with something different every night of the cruise. It features banquette seating and a full bar. This is the venue for enjoying a movie during the day, but more than likely you will want to take advantage of the sun and the fun in the pools.



High on the top of the Golden Princess, you can dance into the wee hours of the morning at Skywalker’s Disco. Flashing lights and TV monitors lining the walls will give you the impression you are in a music video of your own, especially when you show up on the screen.

Variety acts take to the stage in the Explorer’s Lounge as well. This venue has themed rooms that are more casual and intimate than the other show lounges on the ship. The Wheelhouse Bar is another smaller lounge with a nautical theme. Here you can also enjoy traditional pub fare as well as drinks from the full bar.

Players is the name of the sports bar on the ship. Sports enthusiasts won’t miss a minute of the action when there is a big game because it is broadcast via satellite and you can watch it on the large screen TV’s. This is the venue where you can catch up on the latest sporting news and chat with your friends about your favourite team or players.

Do you enjoy people watching? Well the Lobby Bar is the place for you. Listen to the pianist tickling the ivories as you sip your drink and watch the comings and goings on the ship. If you are in the mood for a tall fruity drink, the Mermaid Bar will satisfy your needs. Listen to the action of the pool during the day and the sights and sounds of the ocean by night in the Calypso Bar. The Outrigger Bar is the place where you can almost touch the ocean and enjoy the fresh air breezes.
