The varied cuisine offered in the two main dining rooms of the Island Princess change daily so that you always have different choices on the menu for every meal of the day. Both the Provence and Bordeaux dining rooms have identical menus, but the Provence offers traditional style dining in assigned tables and set times for dinner, while the Bordeaux offers flexible dining choices between the hours of 5:30 and 10 p.m. each night.

The Provence has room for 510 passengers and the Bordeaux can seat 570, but each one has plenty of tables for two in an intimate setting if this is what you prefer. The choice of starters, main dishes and desserts is astounding. Children can choose from a menu of their favourite foods and those who are watching the calories in the food can choose from a spa menu offering healthy and delicious options.

Horizon Court offers anytime dining in its 24-hour facility. There are numerous food stations set up around the room so that you can choose from a wide range of regional and international dishes. Separate stations are set up for soups, salads and breads, which helps to avoid having to wait in long lines. The selections change for each meal of the day and there is something different each day of the cruise.

Dine on Italian cuisine at Sabatini’s, one of the alternative dining venues on the Island Princess. There is a fee associated with dining here, but the five course meal and the selection of mouth-watering pasta dishes are well worth the extra cost. You do have to make reservations at this venue, just as you do at the Bayou Cafe and Steakhouse. This New Orleans style eatery offers Cajun and Creole cuisine and steaks cooked just the way you like them. There is a fee for dining in this restaurant, but it is cheaper than Sabatini’s.

The Grill, located adjacent to the pool, is the place for you if you want fast food favourites, such as burgers and fries, hotdogs or chicken. Other dining venues on the Island Princess include the Princess Pizza where you can choose from ready-made pizzas or have one made with your favourite toppings and La Patisserie, which serves specialty coffees and teas as well as delectable pastries.

Room service is available round the clock for times when you just want a bite to eat late at night or prefer to dine in the privacy of your stateroom.
