With the personal choice option offered in dining, when you take a cruise on the Grand Princess, you don’t have to stick to a set time for dinner. Dinner is available between 5: 30 and 10 p.m. in the three main dining rooms of the ship – the Botticelli, Michelangelo and Da Vinci – and you can sit wherever you like. If you do prefer the tradition of having a set table for the evening meal, you can make reservations at the Michelangelo.
All three of these dining venues offer the same menus that have a range of choices in starters, main meals and desserts to choose from. Children have their own menu of favourite foods and if you are watching your weight, you can enjoy the delicious fare of the Spa menu.
In the mood for Italian? Well you can feast on a five course meal at Sabatini’s where the cuisine is straight out of Italy. The range of pasta dishes is amazing and the seafood is simply divine. Reservations are required and there is a per person fee for dining in this venue. If you have a yearning for good old barbeques food, the Terrace Grill has what you need in addition to fast food favourites, such as burgers, fries, hotdogs and chicken. The Poseidon Pizzaria has all the pizza you need. Choose from those already made of have one made up with whatever toppings you prefer. The I Scream Ice Cream Bar will whip up a shake for you in a few seconds or you can select a cone containing several scoops of different flavours. Room service is available round the clock and there is afternoon tea served in various locations throughout the Grand Princess. You certainly won’t waste away from hunger when you take a cruise on this ship. |
