There is ample room for the 2670 passengers the Sapphire Princess can carry in the 1304 cabins on this ship. Over 700 of these have private balconies and there are another 200 or so with a view of the ocean. All feature closed circuit TV offering such channels as CNN and ESPN as well as a movie channel. There is a telephone in each room, as well as a hair dryer, bathrobes, a wall safe, refrigerator and well-stocked mini-bar for your needs.
The categories of staterooms range from luxurious suites to interior cabins that are quite spacious. There is ample closet and storage space in all accommodations. In the suites the private bathrooms contain a whirlpool tub, but in the standard outside and inside cabins there is a shower only in the bathroom. ![]() If you want to cruise in luxury, book the Grand Suite on the Sapphire Princess. This suite is very large, measuring almost 1400 square feet, which includes the large balcony. There is a main bedroom containing a queen size bed and a sleeper sofa in the living room to accommodate more guests. There are also two TV’s in this suite as well as a wet bar and a walk-in closet. The size of the regular suites varies between 525 and 726 square feet. These, too, have a separate bedroom with a queen size bed and a pull out sofa in the living room area. Family suites are available on this ship where the whole family can stay in spacious accommodations. These consist of two interconnecting staterooms with a large wraparound balcony. There are lower bunks and sleeper sofas so that 6 people can be quite comfortable in the suite. The mini-suites measure about 323 square feet and the balcony staterooms range from 214 to 257 square feet in size. These, like the rest of the accommodations on the Sapphire Princess, feature two twin beds that can easily be converted to a queen size bed. An outside stateroom measures about 168 square feet and offers a view of the ocean through a large picture window. There are staterooms in this category, though, that do have obstructed views. Interior cabins measure 160 square feet and are quite comfortable for two guests. For the convenience of disabled passengers on a cruise on the Sapphire Princess, there are staterooms and suites that are wheelchair accessible. They have extra wide doorways and bathrooms that do not have any steps. There are features in these rooms to accommodate all in the sensors to notify you that someone is at the door and the enhancements for those who are hearing impaired. |
