Golden Princess Cabins
Although the majority of outside cabins on the Golden Princess have balconies, they are not completely private. For example, those on the decks above can look down on the balconies beneath them and some of the balconies are visible from the bridge. You do have to be careful about how you dress and what you do when you are out on your balcony.

There are a total of 1301 cabins on this ship for the comfort of the 2600 passengers it can carry. 1096 of these are outside cabins, but there are also 22 suites, 180 mini-suites, a luxurious Grand Suite and 2 suites for families that can accommodate up to 10 passengers each.

The Grand Suite is quite large, measuring over 1300 square feet including the size of the balcony. There is a separate bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. While there are TV sets in all the cabins on the ship, this suite as well as the others has two TV’s for the comfort of the guests. The mini-suites measure 323 square feet including the balcony, but the standard suites are larger measuring between 468 and 535 square feet.

Family staterooms on the Golden Princess consist of two interconnecting staterooms with a full balcony. There is a central living room and the staterooms connect through this area. In this way families travelling together can make sure they all stay together rather than have to book separate rooms.

The bathrooms in the suites contain a whirlpool tub in addition to a shower. In the standard inside and outside cabins, there is a shower only, but the bathrooms are still quite spacious. There is ample closet space in all accommodations for your needs, but if you book a suite you have the benefit of enjoying a walk-in closet.

The standard cabins contain two twin beds that can easily be converted into a queen size bed. While the majority of cabins are designed to sleep two, some of them do contain a sleeper sofa in the sitting room area to make room for more guests.

All contain a wall safe for your valuables, telephone, hair dryer and bathrobe and a fridge and mini-bar. You do have to pay for the items you use from the mini-bar, but there is a price list. It is checked every day by the staff and restocked if necessary. Fresh towels are provided on a daily basis, but if you need them sooner all you have to do is pick up the telephone and they will be at your door within minutes.
